Green and White Living Room

This living room went through rounds of reorganizing, and it’s still changing.

The early version looked lovely but felt off. The room was set up to provide a conversation area and allow the large TV to be tucked in an out-of-the way corner, where it was easily visible from the couch but not from many other vantage points moving past the room in the rest of the house. This worked for a while, but being in the room never felt quite right, despite all the comfy pieces.

It was rearranged so that the view from the couch looks toward the windows and then through the adjacent room to more windows and the trees outside. With your back to the wall and the sun towards your face, it feels much more inviting and relaxing to be there. It also made the conversation space tighter, in a way that still fits large groups. This opened up other corners of the room for a small adult desk and an even smaller kid’s homework and computer zone.

That next room, visible in the bottom is a flex space that serves as kids play area and guest room. It can be closed off with large sliding doors for privacy, or to hide mess. When the doors are open, the two rooms become one larger interconnected space with designated zones for different activities, including reading, socializing or watching movies and gaming.
